You do realize "coronavirus" is not the name of this current outbreak? Coronaviridae is the name of a family of viri, something like 50 different species, of which I believe seven are known to infect humans. SARS and MERS are both in this family, as well as a couple more that just cause the common cold. Geographical names are popularly used, they have nothing to do with scientific nomenclature, usually.
And plenty of people (myself included) have referred to it as the "Wuhan Virus" around here and wider on the interwebs.
