Our church in SoCal canceled services at all campuses last Sunday and offered online worship. Combined campus attendance is usually around 15,000 on Sundays. The online audience was 230,000.

"People who drive vehicles to church three+ times a week are endangering others, too."

Not even remotely comparable levels of danger.

You’re right.

Can you imagine if the Pilgrims whined because the trip across the Atlantic might kill them? What if Paul Revere said he’d rather stay home because he might be shot if he took that ride? What if Washington’s troops decided to go home because they might catch a cold crossing the Delaware in a horrific winter without shoes?

“The good preacher thinks the virus is POLITICALLY MOTIVATED. My only question... ‘Is it a Republican virus or a Democrat virus...maybe an Independent virus?’”

You DO know that he means that THE HYPE is politically motivated, don’t you?

There are more than 100 deaths per day in the usa from auto accidents. A ball park number is 40,000 or 110 per day.

The chances of getting killed driving to church far exceed catching the virus and dying

“If this virus is as lethal as it’s being made out to be ... “

And wouldn’t the White House Task Force be giving their updates via Skype, separately, holed up in their houses? Every day they must go home to their families, some of whom easily could’ve been exposed just by going to a grocery store? Even the Task Force isn’t afraid. That tells you something.

And I think it’s a riot that they’re taking the temps of the press, etc., who are coming to the press conferences. THEY know the virus is active before a temperature shows.

“Do you believe and trust President Trump?”

I believe and trust him, but I also believe he’s a hostage of the situation. He believes what he originally told us, i.e., that this is no worse than the flu. Then he got sucked into the narrative of the liars. You can tell he’s pissed.

He always gets revenge; I can’t wait.

There is no way this is true. WATCH him at press conferences. He is 100% on board with this. He is 100% on war footing with this virus.

"He is 100% on war footing with this virus."

AND...the American people can see that...which is why he will have a second term in spite of past economic predictors.

Looks like a constitutional test coming up?
I’m guessing this gets left alone.

There was a reason that God gave specific laws in the Old Testament regarding open sores. Those with the leprous lesions were not to commingle with the others unless and until the lesions disappeared.

Christian love compels us to use our brain cells and not test God by foolishly causing harm to others and expecting him to protect us.

The government is not issuing a permanent ban on religious gatherings. It’s temporary. And in our day and age we can still be fed and nourished by the Word of God in so many ways while we wait to gather again. In fact,we can communicate online and be together virtually.

I was agreeing with you.

There is an old adage “Never try to teach a pig to sing. You just get messy and it annoys the pig.” I was referring to your trying to explain to some why what the pastor did is a bad idea. Sorry if it came across that I was criticizing you.

I believe strongly in not going overboard, which I think is happening. That doesn’t mean I think doing nothing is the right answer.
