Got a call from a buddy in Southern California and he told me a motorcycle cop, Ca Highway Patrol, pulled him over on the freeway and checked his licence and told him that he was at the age where he could not be outside and he must return home and if he was seen again on the freeway, he would be arrested.
Did I miss something?? I would have told the cop what he could do with a rolling donut!!

you get immunity by having a disease and then developing antibodies once it is thru your system or by getting a vaccine, which is why people are supposed to get flu shots every year.
Why? They did the same sort of thing with the Spanish flu back in 1918, with addition of no spitting.
Just because it is 2020 does not mean we are able to always keep things the way we want them. Bacteria and viruses still do their thing. They are ATTEMPTING to control a pandemic. Not the President’s fault it is here.

Does this doctor have an electron microscope in his office? Because a virus is too small to see with a regular microscope much less distinguish it from other viruses.
I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be sarcastic. I think you must have misunderstood what the doctor said. A rapid test for flu is performed on a nasal swab using a test kit similar to a home pregnancy test. It’s a general screening test that will basically tell you if you have type A or type B flu but not the specific strain. To determine that, pcr testing must be performed which is extremely expensive and I doubt whether most insurances would cover the cost. Most doctors just treat on the basis that you have “the flu”. If the rapid flu is negative they would assume it was some other viral respiratory disease and treat it exactly the same way.
How do you know people did not have the disease if there was no testing performed on people with symptoms until recently? Or if they are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic carriers?
Maybe a lot of the individuals who got really sick were carriers and some other confounding situation/treatment/drug triggered the critical symptoms?
Make sure this applies to Congress, as well!! ;)
I, too, am avoiding non-critical medical appts. and any gatherings. As for avoiding religious services, I believe prayers can be heard from bowed head or bended knee in one’s home as well as from churches/synagogues. A valuable life lesson may be gained from all this, and that is to teach each of us effective coping skills. Life isn’t one big playground where you get everything you want, without making meaningful sacrifices.
