Part of our problem in California are all the green laws requiring expensive additives to winter gas and summer gas and the final prepping before we buy it.

Also, Californicator has a sales tax based on the price per gallon.

So there is never any push/urgency at the state level to reduce the price of gasoline to the gas buying citizens.
