Dr. Anthony Fauci has become a rare source of frank honesty from within the White House coronavirus task force in recent weeks, holding firm with an at times overly optimistic President and gently recommending steps forward in the face of crisis.
The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases -- and a doctor for the National Institutes of Health for more than 50 years -- has even won public praise from President Donald Trump. Trump went so far as to say Fauci was doing a "tremendous job" and "working long, long hours" during a Rose Garden news conference Friday, just a day after the doctor admitted to members of Congress that the current set of protocols for physicians to request coronavirus tests for their patients "is a failing." That's a clear contradiction with the President, who has insisted that "testing has been going very smooth."

This should be posted in bloggers/personal if at all.
It’s DNC propaganda posing as “news” — and not doing a very good job of it either.
Get that commie Obama medal of freedom loser outta here!!
Fire him. He makes alarmist statements about the mortality rate, and fails to even mention the virulence rate. An estimate? Anything? He’s an overrated a$$.
Too much truth telling going on around here. Get him off the stage!
Besides, I thought he was Chinese (Fow Chi) until I saw how his name was spelled and his Caucasian face. He’s been deceiving us!
Vazques is just another corrupt CNN person who puts their opinion forward as fact when in fact they are wrong. CNN wants so badly to have Trump hurt by this virus problem (or any problem for that matter) that that goal influences everything they write or say to the point that they are entirely unreliable as a source for anything. CNN media people lack intellectual honesty, integrity and character. How they remain in business is beyond me.
The richest town in Italy with the best hospitals is failing. We are weeks away from a nightmare.
Guys, CNN is trying to gin up a game of lets-you-and-him-fight.
Don’t play.
Not this again.
Italy is old. It’s broke. And it’s healthcare system sucks.
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and Italy has got a lot of those.
The US in not Italy.
I can’t imagine he could be fired. His reputation as one of the world’s experts on infectious diseases makes him a key member of the team. If he were fired, the reaction would be immense.
I do too. One of the most extraordinary people I've met in my medical life, and I've met quite a few.
“Media really loves this guy.”
Not as much as he loves himself. He’s a self-absorbed rabble rouser basking in the glory of being able to manipulate an entire nation. He’s borderline giddy when he decrees “it will get worse before it gets better”, and similar.
I prefer Dr. Birx.
THANK YOU!!! This is continually ignored or forgotten. The terrain matters. The healthcare quality matters. Hygiene matters. To extrapolate from one communist country (or several dictatorships) to the U.S. and say “See, that’s us X a million in a few weeks” is to ignore all of the above. There is NO reason with the best healthcare system in the world that our experience should be several thousand times worse. Based on what? Nothing but fear and false prophecies.
Why do people continue to post crap from CNN like it is a legitimate news org?
Urban sprawl may be our saving grace, we just aren’t as densely populated as Europe is.
Seriously. That post was one of the most retarded things I’ve read yet.
Good point. We are more spread out which should help reduce the spread of this.
I think the virus is in 48 states now, so it’s found in every part of the country now.
I also think the coming warmer weather will help to slow it down, as well.
Truth Teller, CNN - words that do not belong together in one sentence. How could possibly CNN recognize truth?
