I’m kind of irrationally optimistic about our surviving the coronavirus - no tv at our house for many years, for one thing. I do think this event could turn out to be a good walk-through for an eventual deadly bio-weapon - unfortunately, for both sides - for our country and for its enemies who might be contemplating the best use of one. It’s just a matter of time, whether a release is accidental or deliberate. Because of the coronavirus, we may be more prepared to respond and possibly save lives when that day comes.

We’re going to have to plan for these things as we do for hurricanes.
It’s just going to be a fact of life in our highly mobile world.
Every ten years or so these things are going to come up. We need to be prepared for the next one, because it’s going to happen again.
We should have learned from 2009.
