And once someone has a positive test, what are they being told to do, and how is it any different than if you went to the doctor in times past for the flu?

You would be assessed to make sure you didnt need a higher level of care, and if not, hopefully told to go home and stay there until you test negative twice. It could take some time but this is what will stop the frigging thing. We needed these tests.

Well you won’t just walk into your doctor’s office if you think you have covid-19. There are different procedures because it is so infectious. You call the doctor’s office and they tell you want to do.

There is zero difference in treatment, because treatment is just of the symptoms. The point of the test is to inform quarantine decisions, as well as to inform the medical community about the effect of the contagion on the herd.
