Yes, you’re right. I remember the Swine flu very well myself but please my brains aren’t scrambled.
Pro-rate the deaths from Swine flu with the reactions:
no sports arenas were closed down
no audiences were removed from TV shows
nobody was forced to quarantine themselves (although they should have perhaps)
the stock market didn’t drop like a rock.
President Obama DID, as I understand, declare a state of emergency
The comparison between two flu outbreaks and the ratio of affectees, deaths and the reaction of the public, media and political party....well it’s hard to ignore.
And yet we survived the Swine flu. And as we pause (at least I do) and ponder what seems to be a truth hidden in the statistics, we are ridiculed for such as thinking it through and not buying toilet paper.
