The father of Missouri's first coronavirus patient disobeyed quarantine and went to a school dance with his other daughter on Saturday evening, officials said.

Matthew 17:20 NIV
...”Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
The catch is... the strength of your faith.
If these peoples’ faith is strong enough AND it is God’s will, they WILL be spared disease.
Myself, I like to think of my faith as being strong, but apparently not as strong as those people.
And a friend of the Clintons LOL
I was not talking about the father that went to the dance.
Total disregard for the health of everyone at the dance.
SELFISH, a very human trait.
During WWII sugar was rationed. I suppose when this bastard ran out of sugar, he would have killed someone and took theirs. We are now a nation of wimps unable to deny ourselves of anything.
I wouldn’t trust the media by default, and I wouldn’t throw this guy under the bus right now either.
We know the media and some gov’t officials are fanning the flames of panic. If I read the original article correct, the health officials encouraged them to quarantine prior to the virus being confirmed.
Once the confirmation came in, he was already at the dance and immediately left.
Sorry guys, I’m skeptical of the response and especially the panic inducing headlines. Personally I wouldn’t have gone to the dance, but I’m reserving my opinion on this situation for the time being.
“Voluntary” quarantine doesn’t work. People think only of themselves today and accept no responsibility for their actions. It is always somebody else’s fault (usually Trump’s). People are also nowhere near as smart today. He probably thought the quarantine only applied to his sick daughter and CERTAINLY NOT TO HIM.
It only takes one.
Wow. Had to go there, did you? I could say the same about other select groups. Unnecessarily targeting is uncool.
*shrug* We’re still due for a Yellowstone super volcano eruption.
The Cascades are more of a dire threat than Yellowstone. In terms of geological history.
I wager the volcanoes in the Cascades will blow before Yellowstone does. Might want to check your public education on that one. And yes, scientists are frequently wrong.
I thought everyone in Missouri believed that dancing was a tool of the Devil. Thats what Hollywood told me anyhow.
The storyline of Footloose takes place in Indiana.
On the bright side, the Long Valley Caldera is also heating up...
I’m always distinguishing between “people doing the wrong things”, and “chance of actual danger from the wrong things”.
This is an unfortunate learning opportunity.
If nobody at the school tests positive, and nobody gets the virus, what does it tell us?
It tells us that to people in the same house as a known infected person, who then went to a public event, did NOT spread the virus; maybe the virus doesn’t spread as easily as some people think it does.
If a dozen people get it, it tells us the opposite.
based on the epidemiology of THIS disease I suspect most of the people in that house will get it.
And some of the people at the party will too.
It’s not a (specifically) STD.
Think of the party and dance as ‘one big cruise ship’.
“The father of Missouri’s first coronavirus patient disobeyed quarantine and went to a school dance with his other daughter on Saturday evening, officials said.”
The rules don’t apply to them, only other people. If indeed the parents knew about this and my kid at the dance gets this I can see lawsuits flying on the brats parents. What a little spoiled douche-bag.
I love my church and enjoy it very much but my pastor and the choir director are not too bright about the flu and flu season. The regular flu ravaged the local schools last month causing week closings because there were no subs for the sick teachers and in some cases only two kids in the classrooms.
In late January on a Saturday night I told my wife and Mom you know it wouldn’t surprise me that the pastor or choir director have fellowship during the service. After a song they will tell you to shake hands with those around you at times and it may go on for 5-10 minutes. Sure enough the next morning, lets have fellowship, having not had it since early fall. Two weeks later same thing. Each time my wife walked out to a side area and my daughter took her toddler our as well to avoid possible contagions. One little old lady attends late spring through early fall like clock work, come flu season you won’t see her because of the handshaking, she was an old army nurse.
Well yesterday the pastor decides lets shake hands and everyone just looked at one another, rather stunned as he said we’re not afraid of a virus, he found out real quick the congregation wasn’t into tempting God. Most just turned around and nodded and spoke to the person next to them, lasted all of one minute. Sometimes people just don’t use their noggins.
Both cane and can him .
This guy thinks he is too important for little people stuff like a quarantine .
I say bring back public flogging .
It worked too .
