Conservatives have been trying for decades to create an immigration system that rewards immigrants who won’t be a burden on society and discourages those who will.
The Trump administration this week began enforcing the “public charge” rule, giving U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services the authority to refuse green cards — the key step on the path to citizenship — to people who have used a wide range of nonemergency welfare programs.
“The main reason this got done is because we have a president who is determined enough to make self-sufficiency matter again in a meaningful way,” said Ken Cuccinelli, who pushed through the rule as acting chief of USCIS and is now acting deputy secretary at the Department of Homeland Security. “That kind of entrepreneurial mentality is a natural for him.”

Homeland Security won’t guess how many people may be denied under the rule, though Mr. Cuccinelli said the bigger change will be in immigrants’ behavior.
He predicted some rejections in the short term as people apply after taking welfare. Over the long run, he said, they will adjust their behavior and decline to take benefits if it isn’t absolutely necessary, “which is actually a useful measure, at the margin, of who’s able to be self-sufficient.”

I hope that after their green card gets denied, and or revoked that the are deported withing 10 days.
Why is someone who is not even a permanent resident yet even ELIGIBLE for welfare?
Work on that English requirement for citizenship, too.
Yesterday I had a Chinese couple come in to buy a gun.
Citizens of the US now, they are eligible, but the woman needed a translator app on her phone to translate the form 4473 into Chinese to complete it.
Barely spoke an English at all.
That’s a good start. Next is to do that for any losers who stay on unemployment /medicaid /disability indefinitely regardless of their immigration.
Doesn’t matter if you came over on the Mayflower. If you are not productively contributing to the economy and making America great, you can go back to whatever sh*le your ancestors came from.

IIRC Time is near that anything regarding Social Security will require English. No more forms in Espanol, Italian, German. No longer a need to press #2 for English. Persons must learn to communicate in this native tongue. “It’s about time!”

My immigrant wife had to sign a “I will not become a burden on the state” pledge for her green card. Implication (if not actual written law) was that if she did, she’d be removed.
Strange that “but of course anyone can come here and live off welfare!” seems so prevalent.

Because that helps weaken what’s left of the historic American people. A goal that has been shared by globalist Republicans and revolutionary Democrats.
New Social Security rule limits access to non-English speakers
1. Withholding funds to “sanctuary” cities.
2. ICE arresting Illegals in court houses
3. Charging illegals with identity thief for using someone elses SS number
4. Revoking green cards for illegals on welfare
5. Sending a 90 year old German back to Germany for lying on his paperwork

Do you think they may be getting the message yet. They are not wanted here and life for an illegal is getting much harder day by day.
