It’s hard to see how Biden suddenly became SuperCandidate without serious establishment help. And it’s doubtful indeed that Biden can gain a plurality of first-round delegates unless Sanders lies down this week.If Sanders pulls his punches, his adherents will likely know what’s happening and go ballistic. If he doesn’t, IMHO he will be the one with the plurality.
The only problem the DNC has with Sanders - and his only similarity to Trump - is that he isn’t uniparty. He openly espouses what the DNC dog whistles - and that is embarrassing. So it could get interesting if the DNC went “third candidate” on Sanders when Joe commits one gaffe too many.
After all, Biden and his delegates are not actually moderate.
