Including Influenza which also is a flu? Besides, cite your source for your claim if you know it. I’m curious and if true I will have learned something. If the CDC says it I’ll buy it.
This is not a flu. It’s a coronavirus.

Right now I wouldn’t trust the CDC if they told me the sky was blue.
Go to the CDC Influenza web page.
The total infected is estimated at about 35,500,000.
Hospitalized is in the high 400,000 rate
Deaths are about 32,000
This is for 2018-2019.
(I am estimating from memory)
The influenza death rate, overall is .91%. (Deaths/all infected)
Of course, the all infected is estimated.
The corona virus death to cases relate is 2.5 to 3%.
You can do the math.
The death rate in the US is 1 death from about 20 cases. Or 5%.
Arent statistics fun? You can make them do what you want.
At this stage of the epidemic in the US, the numbers are so small as to be useless. And since the cases of the flu are estimated they are useless too. (Most people never get tested for flu.)
Lets just wait a couple weeks. It is literally a useless exercise to make comparisons here.
