To Take On the Coronavirus, Go Medieval on It. Quarantines and restrictive measures served a purpose in the old days. They can now, too.

Yeah, PDJT is going to be criticized no matter what he does. But that has been going on since before he was elected. His already thick skin has got to be Rhino hide quality by now.

So what has he done with respect to the Corona virus outbreak?:

- Followed the (evolving) CDC guidance on how to handle the disease outbreak. They are the medical experts, after all.
- Appointed a sufficiently high level Executive Branch official (VP Pence) to monitor and manage an aggressive across-the-government response to the outbreak. Can’t get any higher than VP. But, somehow, you know that is just not going to be enough for people like Rep. Bartender or Senator Pocahantus.
- Insist, through VP Pence, that government announcements and information on this issue be coordinated so the government’s information is current, clear, comprehensible, and not self-contradictory. By insisting on a single source, government officials are prohibited from becoming anonymous sources or becoming the source of opinions/statements that hostile MSM will use to create public uncertainty as to what the present official guidance is on dealing with the issue.
- Ask for $1 billion funding for development of a vaccine. He has proposed shifting some already appropriated funds from other health-related accounts so monies to proceed are immediately available. Of course, Democrats in both the House and Senate have cried “Not soon enough, not enough money” while proposing new legislation for increased funding. This provides endless opportunities for Democrat political mischief. “See, we provided more money than the stingy Orange Man, who doesn’t care about you because he’s bad, bad!” Of course, we all know how rapidly legislation gets done in Congress, especially in an election year with multiple legislator candidates for President. It should be noted that providing additional funding does nothing without a real plan to spend it effectively. So, in addition to the urgent work they have to do, agencies targeted for additional funds will have to work up spending plans for money they didn’t request. Reallocating “parked” or under utilized money in other programs is precisely what the President is attempting to do to immediately get work started.
- Finally, the President is being restrained in his remarks on the issue and is giving it the attention a low level but serious risk deserves. (This unnatural behavior has got to be a strain!). He is reserving use of the presidential bully pulpit for when and if it is really needed.

Here is a pretty informative link to what the CDC is saying about the Corona virus outbreak:

Don’t eat skunks, bats, dogs, cats, or other non-food items. People in Asia will eat ANYTHING. I watch “Cooking with Sro”, on YouTube; they’ll literally eat anything -— one episode, she cooked red ant eggs; another episode, she cooked silk worms. I understand poor folks throughout history eat anything and everything to keep from starving, steamed black flies, mice, etc., but, whoa!

The Castro regime’s response — roundly condemned by other countries — was to make H.I.V. tests mandatory, and to force everyone infected into quarantine camps. The camps were not hellholes: they had bungalows, gardens, theater troupes, medical care, more food than people outside often had, and less homophobia than gay men often faced in macho rural Cuba.

I think the New York Times has been hoodwinked once again. They fell for Potemkin villages, and probably believe Cuba has good 'healthcare'... too bad the Times is such a silly gullible 'news' source. This story is likely BS...fake news.

There something inbetween being a commie thug country and being so open minded that you're brains fall out... Yes, these people should be quarantined but that has many forms dependent on where they live, how willing they are to follow instructions etc.

Over 78,000 New Yorkers — mostly gay men — did (die).

Oh, dear. NYT lets the cat out of the bag.

The US used to have clean streets and public transportation, and then for political reasons the Dems shut down sanitation campaigns, stopped anti-littering enforcement and anti-public defecation laws, revoked anti-vagrancy laws and laws preventing camping in public streets and parks - and presto, every city has turned into a squalid garbage dump just waiting for the right disease to come along.

Feel free to ask people like Spooky Dude (Soros) why they support people who promote such awful policies.
