The fact is Trump has no say if any of these folks will be prosecuted. Even though he is "Chief Law Enforcement Officer" it's not his forte and he can't be caught calling the shots.

So, then. It's your theory that Trump is an idiot? Or that he's doing nothing? That he has no plan? That he just sits there merrily tweeting away and hoping things will get better? That he's an ignorant rube in over his head?

There is no doubt that President Trump wants justice to be delivered — strongly and swiftly. But in our form of government, the president actually has no dictatorial power to take unilateral action. He must rely on others beneath him, and I’ve yet to see real passion on that level to act.

The dismissal of low-hanging fruit against Comey and McCabe — even if other larger charges were in the making — was disconcerting, and probably — likely — a glaring harbinger of what’s to come.
