agreed .... BUT deliberately creating ignorant panic, which too many in the media (and at FR) seem hell bent on, does NOT help at all, and in fact is extremely counter-productive ... such panic creates so much static that any actual truth or facts can’t penetrate ...

one of the worst things i’ve seen posted here is the fake daily mail article where they declared there was a food panic in the U.S. and “proved” it by showing pictures of some empty homemade shelves in a bunch of low-rent street bodegas ...

Some people here at FR may be panicking, true, but I don’t think that any of them are deliberately creating panic.

I think we have more people deliberately creating complacency in spite of obvious dangers. They are more dangerous, IMO.

Lots and lots of Confirmation Bias, too.

That said, we have our fair share of trolls and abusers.
