BELLEVUE, Wash. A patient with "extreme flu-like" symptoms checked into a Bellevue hospital Friday and will be tested for possible coronavirus, according to a hospital spokesperson.

If you watch the presser they defined presumed case it was a question asked. Presumed means the case tested positive with a state level test kit and they sent the sample to the CDC for confirmation. So no not every case of will be called presumed only those that test positive form a state or county level test.

thanks. i didn’t see the presser ... but subsequently guessed “presumed” must mean local test not yet verified by CDC ...
