I’ve always felt every large city needed a 4-6 block area fenced and walled off from the outside, where drugs, prostitutes, and other assorted vice could be rampant. One way in, one way out. and a morgue and crematorium to burn the dead the next day.
That way the rest of the city could remain “clean”.
Who cares? Junkies are dead men walking if the gangbangers don’t shoot them dead first.
Life in da hood is nasty, brutish and short.
Didn’t medieval cities have an area like that? Eventually turned into red light districts?
