President Trump said in an early-morning tweet on Wednesday that he will hold a news conference at 6 p.m. to address his administration's response to the coronavirus outbreak.
In the post, he continued to blame the media and Democrats for overstating the danger of the disease, even as health experts have warned of its spread.
Trump accused MSNBC and CNN of "doing everything possible to make the Caronavirus look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible." The president initially misspelled the name of the virus.
He insisted the U.S. is "in great shape" in its handling of the disease, adding that he and health officials will hold a news conference at the White House on Wednesday evening.

Singapore is STILL getting cases (their health care system is on the ball though doing EXTENSIVE testing and contact tracing...our CDC STILL doesn’t test anyone who hasn’t recently been to China).

The ‘mutate to become weaker’ sometimes takes YEARS. It took two YEARS for the spanish flu or 1918 to get weaker.
The issue isn’t the 80% of people who recover.
It’s the roughly 20% who don’t. 60% of that 20% need an ICU bed. For up to a month.
How many ICU beds do we have free right now?
If 10,000 people in Atlanta get this, 1200 of them will need an ICU bed.

The latest French death was an actual Frenchman, not a Chinese guy. He was 60. 60 isn’t ‘the elderly’. Guy still went to work every day.
There are 30 somethings with this who are on ventilators.
Even IF this only seriously affects Asians, there are enough citizens of Asian descent to crash out our medical system if this comes here.
The FIRST patient in Washington state was a healthy non smoking 35yr old. Who developed serious pneumonia and required supplemental O2. Had he not gotten the experimental Gilead drug he likely would have been in the ICU for weeks, or died.

If this virus was 1/10th as dangerous as many fellow freepers are proclaiming as fact, there would be hundreds of thousands if not millions of dead bodies scattered across Asia and Europe. The supposed fatality rate of +2-3% is pure fiction based on baseless data. The denominator (total number infected including mild cases) is NOT known thus they use only confirmed cases. For God’s sake influenza cases requiring hospitalization have a fatality rate of ~8-17%! Get a grip people!

The Democrats don't have to. The CDC and other organizations are contradicting what Trump is saying about the virus.
Who’s panicing? The only person I see freaking out is you. Reread your hysterical post. Dismissive, head-in-the-sand, trust the government and party line (because it is Trump?). What if it was Obama? I’m simply saying we need caution, need real information, transparency, and be informed. Otherwise, we are simply dependent upon the government more than only of us would like.
