Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz hired away a staffer from Texas Democratic Rep. Sylvia Garcia, who served as a Democratic impeachment manager.
Isabela Belchior, who served as a staffer for Garcia throughout the impeachment hearings, accepted the position for Gaetz shortly after the Senate voted to acquit President Donald Trump, Politico first reported. Garcia was one of the few House Democrats who had the chance to argue their case for impeachment on the Senate floor.
We are happy to welcome Isabela Belchior to our team. Our office believes in second chances, Gaetzs office told the Daily Caller in a statement when asked about the new hire. Gaetzs office confirmed that she accepted the position on February 14.

LOL. You're ALL wrong.
Matt always has had that rogue ("smug" as you say) look about him. He has it because he has constantly stubbornly found himself on the correct side of the facts nearly all his life.
Don't worry about Matt. You may however want to keep an eye on your creeping weaknesses.
****
(See post # 20 for maybe one reason Matt likes her around.)
Can’t trust Gaetz

What a scam that was!
POLITICIAN......the only four letter word spelled with ten letters.
....and what was done about it......NOTHING!!!
Now you could say that the reason the GOP did nothing was because the RATS control the House, but that would NOT excuse their silence on the matter.
Then let us look at Senator WAR PROFITEER and her ChiCom Army driver of TWENTY YEARS!!!!!
Even with control of the Senate, the GOP did NOTHING!!! Not even censure.
There ain't a POLITICIAN worth a bucket of cold goat phlegm!
Isn’t he married?
As of 2018 he was single.
Oh yes, honey trap.
