The danger of Bernie is the lust of at least half of the nation for “free stuff”. He will promise anything, without regard to the potential cost. He proved that just days ago when he couldn’t or wouldn’t put a price tag on all his new entitlement programs.
They Saying Biden will take Carolina. Its a hair smelling thing.
Well, you all did. I never had any.
“But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain’t gonna make it with anyone, anyhow.”
No longer true.
The entire aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and, hence, clamorous to be led, by an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
- H. L. Mencken
This is something the electorate should be made to recite from now until Election Day.
Operation Chaos?
What is the next step?
Glad to see Mircea Eliade mentioned in the article—great insights on why humans do what we do.
The left in the modern world is a cargo cult.
In their urban areas stuff just magically appears on the island—electricity, heating, cooling, housing, food.
Of course they want it free. It is a human right!
Ayn Rand wrote about this stuff in depth. It turns out that all the stuff on the island was created by human beings using their labor and the products of their labor—which means that if one person gets it “free” then the other person (who created it) has been robbed of their labor.
If you rob a person of their labor they are slaves.
So, at its root, “democratic socialism” is a call to have a society of slave-masters and slaves, which has been the condition of many human societies throughout history.
So, do you want to be the slave-master or the slave?
Most folks will vote to be the slave-master!
did they ever get the final vote count?
