Bernie is 78, has little left to lose, and is a true believer in socialism. I say he gets mad and bitter, girds up his loins and makes a third-party run. His supporters will go with him. It will make Trump unbeatable but I suspect Bloomberg would finish a distant third, giving the BernieBots a valuable consolation prize, total control of the Democrat Party.

I tend to agree with your analysis except for one thing: Bernie totally wimped out in 2016.
He also wimped out against liawatha, who confronted him in a staged “off camera” ambush about Bernie having called her a liar. When she is a liar. And he should have agreed with her, and said, that’s right, because you are a liar. Because that f-ing b*tch is a liar and lies every time she opens her mouth. But Bernie wimped out. Weasled out. Slunk out.
