I've been following presidential elections since 1972 and I always knew the results before I went to bed - well with the one notable exception of 2000. Not just the general election but for primaries/caucuses as well. I'm a political junkie.

I even stayed up until 4AM for Trump in 2016 and woke up 90 minutes later for a most glorious commute to Manhattan.

So in the year 2020, when we have all this instant communication, the DNC has apparently lost the ability to count their votes in a timely manner.

There is something very curious about this - my hope is DHS is picking things off in the pipelines and the whole mess is stuck in place.
