Why They Hate Trump

Nearly 50% of the American political world hate President Trump. Truly hate him. This is no mild disregard like it was for President Bush 43 “Dubbya,” he of the cowboy foreign policy. This is not the “He’s a total lightweight but he’s pretty harmless so we can sandbag him,” disrespect they had for George HW Bush. This is even deeper than the outright derision and scorn in which they held for Ronald Reagan.

No, this goes farther. This is hatred on a deep, visceral level. A we’d-revert-to-violence-if-we-could-get-away-with-it hatred. They really, really hate him -- personally, politically, any way you can slice it.

Here’s why:

He’s not one of “them.” He’s not a lifelong politician and he doesn’t practice the usual conventions of referring to his fellow politicos with false niceties, nor does he observe the tradition regarding respectful treatment of a hostile media. On the contrary, if a rival politician or national figure behaves badly, he calls them out in no uncertain terms, in a most horrifyingly “unpresidential” manner. Likewise, he’s turned the tables on the liberal media (coining the term “fake news”) and forever ended the past Republican tradition of rolling over and cowering in the face of liberal media criticism. His example has flowed downstream to many rank-and-file Republicans. Now, they too stand up and fight back. Trump has showed them how. He’ll never be forgiven for it.

He’s gonna have fun with Newsom saying doctors should be able to write prescriptions for housing - maybe he can use some of my own comments to Gavin:

Replying to
@GavinNewsom
Why not have them write prescriptions for water, food (including donuts), designer clothing, beer, wine, booze, and a trip to Disneyland while they’re at it?
Gonna have to pay them ‘doctors’ a lot more to make them “full service providers”...
Don’t lay your failures on others.

They hate us worse than they do Trump, and, they’re less inhibited about trying to kill us.

plus I don’t think they care if they get caught being violent anymore.

Most people, in general, aren’t accustomed to being called out on their bullshiz and react with shock or embarrassed anger. Most of us saw how dopey Bernie defensively and angrily reacted when the gnominee-wannabe called the “dached” out on his 3 houses. Imagine how he’ll react to POTUS!

Pfft. Yeah right. I WISH that was true.

This is mostly spot-on. They hate him because he's not one of them. You're supposed to pay your dues to be allowed into the club. No one is supposed to be able to bypass the club. When one person does, then others will surely follow and the club loses its power.

You can argue about how much Trump's accomplished but even if it's as much as he boasts, that's not why they hate him. They hate him because he's the outsider who bypassed the club and forever threatened their power base.

Why would they worry about getting caught? Nothing happens to them no matter what violence they visit upon us.

And I think they hate Trump because he’s a turncoat. He USED to be a Democrat. Until the Dem Party went way left. His tendencies are moderate-left, but he has reined them in because of his pro-life stance.

...also i’ll predict that the violence on the left toward Trump supporters will get so bad before the election that the violence itself will push many moderate democrats to vote Trump or just not vote at all.

Trump is hated by liberals because they consider him to be a liberal traitor. Go back in time and you’ll find liberals cozying up to Trump and clamoring for his attention, but once he chose to run as a conservative Republican as the most effective way to fix America, their fake love turned to true hate. The thing is that Donald never changed. Listen to the things he was saying 30 or 40 years ago and they are the things he says today. Liberals are basically like psycho ex-lovers imagining a world that doesn’t exist and failing to grasp reality.

Because they hate us.

They "hated" Reagan until he was out of power, then when he died they loved him.

They "hated" "Dubya" "Shrub" "Chimpy-boy-monkey-face" Bush, until he denounced Donald Trump..now they love him (at least Ellen Degeneres does).

They "loved" Donald Trump...until he ran for President as a Republican. Come 2025, when Trump goes back to being a private citizen, they'll "love" him, maybe even more and want to sidle up to him at Mara Lago.

No, the one constant is that they hate US. We stand in the way of their dystopian vision of a society where the wealthy elites in government and oligarchs live behind gated walls, have armed guards, and dictate their vision for amerika, while normal people live in fear of armed gangs and corrupt minor government officials.

“plus I don’t think they care if they get caught being violent anymore.”

It’s the only thing they have left.

And that’s what scares me.

I hate to praise Bernie Sanders, but here goes:

Sanders destroys the illusion of a Democratic Party organization that can do some good for anyone in the same way Trump did to the GOP in 2016.

If Sanders is the nominee AND if he suppresses the sans-culottes and guillotine imagery, and instead preaches to the 60 000 Democrats in the rust belt who made Trump President "he broke his promises to you", he can win.

He especially can win if he can suppress his inner circle of communists and force them to come up with a proper, realistic health care restructuring.

Now, so you don't worry, Bloomberg is going to be the nominee, his platform wil be "F*** Trump", and he will lose.

“And he rubs the Democrats’ nose in it every single day, unashamedly and accurately pointing out that he’s accomplished in just three years what the Democrats couldn’t get done over many decades.”

God, i love that man!

There is this law thing we are still trying to bypass. Otherwise, the gutters would be brim full with treasonous blood...

The question is stupid.

Why does everyone who doesn’t work hate anyone who does?

God’s gift to human nature.

“Why They Hate Trump”

—He works against their plans for power.
—He’s very effective at it.
—Their traditional methods of character assassination backfire on them.
