While his backers are loud and boisterous, he won’t have the broad support Trump has. First off, Trump has inherent incumbency advantages, and Americans who have a stake in this country’s continued prosperity will vote for him.
Given the Dem demographic advantages, the race will be close regardless of whom the Dems nominate.
