President Trumps reelection campaign has purchased the advertising space on YouTubes homepage for Election Day.
The campaign purchased the websites masthead on Nov. 3 nationwide, a person familiar with the deal told Bloomberg. While the specifics of the ad buy were not disclosed, the cost of such advertising is estimated from hundreds of thousands of dollars to over $1 million a day.
In the past, campaigns, PACS and political groups have run various types of ads leading up to Election Day, a spokesperson for the company told Bloomberg. All advertisers follow the same process and are welcome to purchase the masthead space as long as their ads comply with our policies.
Then-President Obamas 2012 re-election campaign also bought the masthead for Election Day before Mitt Romney had clinched the Republican nomination, Teddy Goff, Obamas onetime digital director, told the publication.

I hope so. I’m tired of seeing Steyer and Bloomberg.
Bloomberg is all over youtube the past two weeks.
“On” election Day? Nov. 3rd only?
Isn’t that kind of late, so to speak, to influence voters?
gotta love the forward thinking of the Trump campaign on things like this ... the Trump campaign is light-years ahead of the Dems on multiple fronts, including GOTV ... i just got to hear Brad Parscale outline some mind-blowing aspects of the Trump 2020 campaign tonight at a private, VIP reception at the Broadmoor World Arena immediately prior to the Trump rally in Colorado Springs this evening ...

Farmer Mike might have enough billions to take over youtube, but no amount of billions can buy him a personality ...
which brings me to a Wizard of Oz fantasy cartoon in which The Wizard is able to grant courage to the Cowardly Lion, a heart to the Tin Man, and a brain to Scarecrow, but tells Mini-Mike, “Sorry, Mini-Mike, but even my great powers and all of your billions are not sufficient to grant you a personality” ... that would make one hellofa political cartoon ...
It’s probably designed more as a reminder to get his supporters out to the polls rather than swaying anyone on who to vote for once there. It’s hard for me to imagine needing to be motivated to go and vote, but there are people who need a little push to get them to drive to the polling station.
Good point. Thanks.
