A spokeswoman for Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) presidential campaign said Wednesday she “misspoke” when she claimed Sanders’s primary opponent former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has had a heart attack.
“I mispoke when I said Bloomberg had a heart attack,” Sanders spokeswoman Briahna Joy Gray tweeted Wednesday, after making the comments on CNN’s “New Day'' earlier that morning.
“Rather, he underwent the same stent procedure as Bernie. Bernie released 3 detailed medical reports in December — just like the other candidates.”
Gray followed up with a link to a New York Times article from 2007 which reported Bloomberg had surgery to have two stents implanted in a coronary artery because of a blockage in his heart in 2001 before he was elected mayor of New York City. Bloomberg served as mayor of New York for three terms.
There is no evidence that Bloomberg, 78, has suffered a heart attack.
Bloomberg’s campaign advisor Tim O’Brien quickly called out Gray on Wednesday for what he said was a “Trumpy lie,” adding in a tweet that Bloomberg “has *never* had a heart attack.”
Sanders, who is also 78, had a heart attack in October.
He said at a CNN town hall Tuesday night he will not release any more medical records during his presidential bid, arguing the three letters from doctors he has released so far are sufficient.
Gray similarly defended the campaign’s decision not to release additional medical records in her CNN interview Wednesday morning.
“I think the American people deserve to know exactly as much as every other candidate has released in this race currently and historically,” she said.

They had the same procedure, and Bernie had a heart attack but Bloomie didn't?
(Also, Bloomie's atrial fibrillation history should worry all those drawing paychecks from his campaign, too.)

A year ago in January I got one stent put in after 4+ weeks of a lot of tests and evaluations.
During that time 5 friends had real heart attacks as shown by their EKG’s and lab values. They, before they left their hospitals got anywhere from 3-4 stents put in before they left their hospital/post MI’s.
One of our future heirs was really upset that these people got their stents faster than I did. My wife, an RN, explained why I got the best deal, without having a heart attack.
All of us are doing okay now.
Short people may have an increased risk of heart disease

“Shorter people at greater risk of heart disease, new research finds,” reports The Guardian.
It reports that a study of nearly 200,000 people has found that for every 2.5 inches (6.35cm) less in height, there is a 13.5% increased risk of coronary heart disease or CHD (also known as coronary artery disease).
This means that someone who is 5ft (1.52m) would have a 32% increased risk of CHD compared to someone who is 5ft 6 (1.71m).

Years ago there were similar studies showing taller people having more severe and early cardiac problems.
The males in my wife’s immediate family are 6’5 and 6’7+. Both are still alive at 70+. The shorter one has had some CV problems and they are up to date. The taller one still played 5 man basketball with his high school team until 3 years ago. This year he gave up singles tennis. The other one is on a couple of cardiac drugs, and he still runs and manages their small farm.
It's just a little weird to see two 70-somethings, both of whom have heart disease, argue about who has the healthiest heart.

What she meant to say was, “he had a myocardial infarction”.
