FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponents Argument
Only US citizens are protected by the privileges and immunities enumerated in the US Constitution imo.
Regarding activist states trying to protect illegal immigrants, Democrats are effectively trying to change the outcome of the Civil War imo, evidenced by the following post-Civil War material from the Constitution and the congressional record.
14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
3. The right of suffrage was not necessarily one of the privileges or immunities of citizenship [emphasis added] before the adoption of the Fourteenth Amendment, and that amendment does not add to these privileges and immunities. It simply furnishes additional guaranty for the protection of such as the citizen already had. Minor v. Happersett, 1874.
In fact, the post-Civil War congressional record indicates that aliens do not have government protections, no right to vote for example.
" Whatever difference there may be as to what other right appertain to a citizen, all must agree that he has the right to petition and also to claim the Protection of the Government. These belong to him as a member the body politic, and the possession of them is what separates citizens of the lowest condition from aliens and slaves. To suppose that a State can make an alien a citizen or confer on him the right of voting would involve the absurdity of giving him the direct and immediate control of the action of the General Government [emphasis added], from which he can claim no protection and to which he has no right to present a petition." Appendix to the Congressional Globe, 1868. (See bottom half of 1st column.)
Also, regarding concerns that activist states may try to use the votes of illegal immigrants to change change the outcome of elections, the congressional record also indicates that doing so will nullify the Constitutions uniform Rule of Naturalization Clause.
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 4: To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;"
" If the States can admit to the elective franchise those who are not citizens, thereby neutralizing the votes of citizens, not only the Federal power of naturalization becomes a nullity, but * * * * "a minority of citizens by the aid of aliens may control the government of the States, and through the States the government of the Union [emphasis added]." Appendix to the Congressional Globe, 1868. (See near middle of 1st column.)
Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress that will not only promise to fully support PDJT's already excellent work for MAGA, now KAGA, but will also do this.
New lawmakers also need to promise to uphold their oaths to protect and defend the Constitution, the "uniform Rule of Naturalization Clause" for example, with respect to stopping illegal immigrants from voting.
