Interesting chart from Stock Market Performance by President (Macrotrends). The chart shows the running percentage gain in the Dow Jones Industrial Average by Presidential term. Each series begins in the month of inauguration and runs to the end of the term. The y-axis shows the total percentage increase or decrease in the DJIA and the x-axis shows the term length in months.

I was surprised to see that comparison between Obama and Trump. Of course, the DJIA is a small indicator of the health of the economy. By every measure, we are FAR better off under the unrepentant capitalist Trump rather than the communist Obama.
