Joe Scarborough is nothing but an absolute liar. The economy has done nothing but grow stronger and stronger since Trump became president and Scarborough knows it. Just look at the unemployment numbers and the stock market and that’ll put Scarborough in his place. What a dingbat!
That graph lacks important context.
For instance, Obama’s policies gave us the slowest, weakest RECOVERY since the Great Depression. 1/2 the GDP as the average and twice as long (6 years vs 3) to recover previous stock market highs.
Trump, on the other hand, gave us policies that have yielded record low unemployment, GDP that is the envy of the world and about 150 new market highs...in an EXPANSION and in only 3 years.
Poor Dead Intern Joe, he knows he can’t deny the GREAT Trump economy anymore. So his ludicrous fall-back position is that the great economy is due to the pathetic Bath House Barry.

NO we were actually were in Depresssion with Obama - > 25% of workers NOT WORKING instead of the fake statistic of ‘unemployment’ which only measures the number of people on ‘government unemployment payments’ - When the BAD ECONOMY under Obama went on so long that the truly UNEMPLOYED citizens fell off the limited term of such payments a year or 99 weeks AND WERE NOT BEING COUNTED.

You are absolutely right. The DJIA is one measure, but probably not the best. Number of people working, GDP growth, and unemployment are equally (maybe more) important stats.

What they haven't taken into account.. thanks to the Internet there are FAR LESS stupid people than previously.
The DJIA is a good measure as well...but not without proper context. If you back it up to the previous high prior to the election of either Trump or Obama you see a very different comparison.
