Hes doing pretty well at the moment, campaigning with money and ads. Hes not likely to give a blow-out debate performance one way or the other, so why risk it? Ego. What billionaire doesn't have an over inflated sense of self confidence? Also likely surrounded by people who won't say no to him.

I hope someone uses this during the debate:

Maybe. But, as I understand it, he qualified (due to the DNC changing the rules for hi) for the last debate, but didn’t show. Maybe it’s the plan to enter late and with some voting momentum, rather than enter early and linger, as the other candidates have done.
We’ll see.

When you buy the managers, you get a backstage pass...He can buy his spot on the stage but he can't buy 6 inches. He will need to bring a box to stand on.

Milkcrate time!! I'm legitimately excited to see how big a milkcrate they let him use. There better be a camera shot of that!

It’s going to be interesting on the stage.
President Trump has accused Bloomberg of wanting a box to stand on. Bloomberg basically responded: “A box! How insulting! I would never stand on a box!!”
When the debate happens, Bloomberg will either be a foot shorter than the others, or he will be standing on a box. Neither thing is good for him.

Bloomberg didn’t qualify for the last debate because of the individual donor rule which was just changed to qualify him for the upcoming debate. He is better off avoiding debates, nothing gained as he already is looking like the DNC insider pick.

It's funny how Bloomberg gets the poll he needs just in time...
President Trump was polling that a majority supported impeachment just in time...
Biden was leading the pack...
Clinton was winning in a landslide...

Maybe they will make the podium shorter! ;-)

Bloomberg will be the Democrat nominee. He will buy out Sanders, Buttigieg quietly behind the scenes. At some point you will see their attacks on him muted or non-existent and then it will become clear the transactions have been consummated.

Bloomberg didnt qualify for the last debate because of the individual donor rule...I thought it was changed just before the last debate, but he decided not to go. My bad, then.

They were talking about making the rule change, but it didn’t happen in time for the last debate.

What if he decides not to debate, but just keeps buying consultants (black) and TV ads? His hapless opponents would be...well, hapless.

How many times will Crazy Bernie say “billionaires” at the debate?
