Why do they need tech for such a small number of caucus goers...?
Some volunteers who will help run caucuses at precinct locations said they have not been trained on iPads that the party purchased to enter and transmit vote counts. Party officials scrambled to streamline their vote reporting system — settling on Google forms accessible through a saved link on the iPads — after scrapping a pair of apps they’d been planning to use until a similar app caused the fiasco in Iowa two weeks ago.
What could possibly go wrong with that plan?
There can be no doubt that they--the DNC--are sabotaging the whole primary process so they can hand the nomination to their candidate of choice. Whoever that is. They are either incompetent or corrupt. Or both. Why would anyone ever vote for a Democrat?!
Whole lot of shenanigans in their calls. For example, NBC called Trump the “ apparent winner” in Florida. It was the only state they used this designation for.
I suspect they deliberately dragged their feet on PA to give Hillary an excuse for not showing up that night. It should have been called way earlier than it was.

There’s no need to embarrass themselves in that way. They can nominate whomever they please just like last time.
The part I don’t get is why they used to be able to do something they can’t seem to do anymore.
But then, many things that used to be easy to do on my computer are now hard and require many steps rather than one or two like the old days.
This is what happens when people learn to code I guess.

That is certainly my fondest hope.
Because the Bernie Brownshirts have been convinced that would happen since just after the 2016 Democrat Convention.
They have been preparing for three years to run their own ticket this year, and even though Trump should stomp everybody the split on the left will be nigh permanent if the Socialists beat the Democrats.
Those two hours, beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern, were the only time that I ever thought Trump might lose.

So they are letting us know in advance they plan to repeat Iowa until Sanders cries uncle? Must be Clintons’ “Shadow” software again.

but even if you had, can you trust that receipt.
I think they should give you a receipt with a control number.
And the post all the votes on the web by control number and not by name to preserve anonymity.
That way you could check and verify that your vote was indeed recorded correctly.
And there should be a paper copy available for review against the electronic totals.
Aren’t the Iowa Democrats still counting votes? After all, that’s what they do best: Counting votes until they outcome they want arises.
