Here’s What The Lead Roger Stone Juror Said During Jury Selection

A former Democratic congressional candidate revealed Wednesday that she was the foreperson on the jury that convicted Roger Stone.

Tomeka Hart said during the jury selection process that she did not “pay that close attention” to developments in the Russia investigation. She also said that Stone’s links to President Donald Trump would “absolutely not” affect her views at trial.

But Hart’s social media posts show that she was closely tuned in to the Russia probe and that she considered Trump and his supporters to be racist.

When Tomeka Hart was interviewed during the jury selection process as part of the Roger Stone trial, the former Democratic congressional candidate said she was generally aware of developments in the Russia investigation, but that she didn’t “pay that close attention” to the probe.

She also insisted that Stone’s affiliation with President Donald Trump would “absolutely not” color her views of the longtime Trump confidante, according to a copy of a court transcript obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

She should be charged and if found guilty, get the same sentence Roger Stone received. Fairness.

Fascinating stories, thanks!

I’ve never sat though I’ve been called a few times. Never even made it to voir dire. Hubby sat on a jury once. Horrible case. He was impressed by and appreciative of the folks he served with, and hopes he never has to do it again.

So the prospective juror is not under oath when being questioned by the attorneys for either side?

According to the info at the link in Post #27 that's the way it works.

Not right at all. But, up until selected, the potential jurors are only registered voters and have no info on what the case actually is or who is involved (defendant).

“who allows a Democrat candidate for Congress on a jury to decide the fate of someone who worked with Donald Trump”

It would appear that Chief Justice John Roberts doesn’t have a problem with that and neither did any Republican Senator have a problem with Demoncrat Senators sitting in judgement of POTUS while running for his job.

Roberts couldn’t impeach Berman Jackson even if he wanted to, and Nadler could but he won’t.

In some states they tell jurors what the charge is, and jurors get a better idea about the case from the questions they are asked. Federal jury procedures are different.
