Successful Republican congressional candidates will embrace the Trump agenda and win with that theme; “Take the House!”
President Trump IS leading the way to reaching the African-American communities throughout this country....
He is making inroads into that once solid Demonrat base.
Hoping the entire Republican Party follows suit.
John James is an outstanding man who is running for the Senate who happens to be black. I hope some of us who can do it will dig deep and support him as much as possible. I hope the Republican party will do the same.

While they can and should do this, it is far more important that Republicans at least challenge *every* House seat, i.e. no more “uncontested” races for Democrat seats. And second, being flush with cash, they need to pump money into every race to not just win back the House, but to do so with a sizeable majority.
For his part, President Trump needs to create a conservative leadership college, to train the next generation of POTUS, Senate and House candidates, so that the 2022 and 2024 elections will have a full slate of trained talent.
Trump is showing the road map for the “big tent” the GOP always claims they want.
The first instinct of establishment Republicans is to pander, which is never going to win them any black or Latino votes. Strong leadership and results will win black and Latino votes - Trump is setting the example, but if history has taught us anything, it’s that establishment Republican are incapable of learning.
There you have the persuasion problem in a nutshell. Scott Adams says that Trump is a “master persuader,” but that is a nut that is pretty hard to crack.Time will tell.
On the wider point, if Trump actually succeeds in getting a (modern) record percentage of the black vote, the immediate response of the Republican Party will be crucial. The party must then hurl itself into recruiting black candidates for political office in the cities. And listen.
