Trump broke the Republican Party Establishment and reshaped the party to incorporate a new coalition....ie nationalists instead of globalists....the White working class in the Midwest too in addition to the White working class in the South the Republicans have had in their camp for a couple generations. He’s working on picking off a substantial portion of Black men and adding Orthodox Jews to the coalition. Lots of legal immigrants also support him securing the border.
Along the way the Republicans lost some effete suburbanite squishes who loved nothing more than rolling over for the Democrats on command and Neocons - who were always just warlike Leftists.
The jury is still out on that. We will see....
