Are Hollywood actors really considered workers? How many have calluses on their hands? How many can change a spark plug on a car, unclog a toilet, mow a lawn, tile a floor, build a shed, trim a tree, they are not the common worker, and if they have to pay them they look for the cheap.

How many can change a spark plug on a car, unclog a toilet, mow a lawn, tile a floor, build a shed, trim a tree . . .
= = =

With an elegantly trained voice, and excellent elocution, they can command:

“Change my spark plug!”

“Unclog that toilet!”

“Mow my lawn!”

And ‘earn’ an Oscar for it.

One of the early studio heads/founders considered “actors” no different than autoworkers.

(Of course, he didn’t understand why actors lhad agents, either.)
