IIRC, “dogface” in WWII referred to infantry soldiers. It was a term of respect for those who were up front in the mud & muck, getting the worst of it with incoming artillery, mortars, enemy machine gun fire and an enemy constantly probing & attacking.
In WWI the British referred to their front line soldiers as “P.B.I.” (poor bloody infantry).
Anyway, Plugs Biden displays his usual chutzpah, hurling military slang at opponents while having evaded military service all during Vietnam, by legal means it must grudgingly admitted.
But the media will still try to drag him across the finish line as the prospect of the commie, the queer, and the scold hold no hope for victory in November.
