The city of Berkeley was named after Bishop George Berkeley, who owned a handful of slaves when he lived in America. Thus, the city and the university are named after a slave owner. I believe the city and the University should immediately change their names, to disassociate themselves from this racist past.
Every figure in Western history was a bigot. Let’s expunge them all while we’re at it.
