First he casts a totally ineffectual vote for President Trump’s impeachment that enrages his own party, destroys all goodwill with President Trump ( he might not care, but he does have a lot of constituents who need him to care) and satisfies Democrats who hate him almost as much as they hate President Trump
And then he tries to seize the moral high ground with his pious pontificating and his need to “vote his conscience” - all of which is about to be undermined by the exposure of his involvement and probable participation with Ukraine corruption and ties to Burisma
He is about to be exposed as hypocrite of the highest order - and probably much worse too
As I was reading and rereading your post, my mind fuzzed over and I started thinking about Comey and Romney as though I was listening to two different characters in an old radio drama.
Then it hit me: I couldn’t tell them apart!
“They” had to be the same person who was playing different parts at the same time in that radio program.

Obvious to me is that Romney’s desire is that the gravy train will not stop during his life. The “Deep State” is a money guarantee to his heirs. It is a vomit producing plan to honest people who believe in an honest government. Not so fast for Mitt, who is a crook who, in the end, plays the system to your advantage.
