A major meteor strike would splatter a LOT of debris into space, as these fall back to Earth they would look like what even we today call falling stars.
Off hand, I’d say Mathew nailed it.
Massive amounts of dust and ash would blanket the whole world, and it would be murky enough to dim the sun and blot out the moon.
You are correct about Wormwood and ‘stars falling from Heaven’. The way I view it (just my opinion), that’s gonna happen at the very end. As a pre-tribber, I expect to be outta here before that happens.
If I am wrong, then I hope to be dead before it happens.
