More on diversity in public education, or is it perversity? This case won't go away and the Perp State educrats are going on as though they have excrement on their hands and no paper available.

It is interesting that no actual info was given on the assailants, victims, staff, local politicians, etc.

Given today’s MSM, this immediately raises suspicions, since the MSM is arguably the most corrupt group extant - even more corrupt than the Democrat party (if such a thing is even possible).

Maybe this was supposed to be horseplay, or was at one time. But I wonder if it got out of hand. If I understand where that broom stick was going, this could cause some severe injury to someone.

Anybody who has been in a locker room knows that there is a certain amount of goofing off, but, not to the extent of physical injury.

It has come out in the many wapoop stories on the case. Perps acted like prison wolfepack going after ‘new meat’. Most perps are ‘minorities’. Plenty of efforts to cover it up. Some of the prey came from well off families who know how to use the law and courts. Still this case drags on. The longer it goes and educrats try to slow roll it to death the more mud will stick to the county schools and gubermint.

From my experience in high school, if the football team is winning, the players end up being treated nearly as gods by the students, teachers, coaches and even the community at large.

To be fair, that’s an awful lot of pressure to put on a teenaged boy and many can’t handle it. Couple that with all the crazy puberty stuff going on, girls, peer pressure, testosterone, etc. and things can get out of hand.

Now throw in coaches who are basically teachers working extra hours, and teachers aren’t exactly paragons of discipline during the main workday.

I remember seeing some things in high school that were much milder, but I remember the disposition of the perpetrators. I can easily see how the right personalities combined with lax oversight by coaches would be very bad. I can also see how it could be swept under the rug and allowed to fester in that environment.

High School Football causes blindness in adults who should know better, in my experience. It was my first taste of unequal justice and excused criminality, with a bonus of steroid abuse.

So who is being sued?

The taxpayers or the individuals responsible?

Maybe the victims.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

I was the head football coach at two high schools for almost ten years in the 50’ and 60’s. I had complete responsibility for the dressing rooms, fields and everything else used in my program. As such I was responsible for whatever any of my athletes did, good or bad. Where the hell were the coaches in this case? Don’t let them off the hook?

The locals say (well some) that the 3 with money and good lawyers were really just following the ringleader - that is the one without money or a good lawyer. So, the taxpayers, I assume.

Football games were more important than the well being of the players.

The coaches and the school administrators deserve to be shot.

I never understood the need for physical initiations like those in older movies such as “Animal House” or “Dazed and Confused”. Where do you draw the line?

Something like a good old snipe hunt seems preferable and sufficient.
