A sweet, maternal lady of 75 or so came into my shop yesterday. After some preamble she informed me that Trump lies about everything. “I could just look at him and know he is a liar,” she said.
I asked her to tell me one thing he lied about. “Everything!”
I asked her if she had ever listened to the president. “Of course not. He is a liar.”
This woman acts on no evidence except her lying eyes. She was not angry, just absolutely certain. In fact her closed mind frustrated me to the point I had to get control of myself.
I was dumbfounded at the absolutely certainty of this woman based on nothing, no facts, no knowledge, no experience, no reason, nothing but her controvertible certainty that “he lies about everything. I can see it in his eyes.” She sees it with her lyin’ eyes.
It gets worse: Looking at the Facebook feeds of those with TDS they, to an absolute moral certainty, believe the are in a God endorsed Holy War. That Heaven weeps with them. If we are not in a house divided then there is no such thing.
