The polling numbers for Doug Jones must have looked pretty terrible so he had nothing to lose by voting to convict.
Hate to say it but a lot of Trump supporters pushed Moore to the place where he lost from - because we thought Trump was wrong when he backed “Big Luther” ... who would have won handily.

Jones will see how many people in Alabama support his vote when he is soundly defeated and outed as Senator. Repubs have at least 3 candidates who will get more votes than Jones. Go Tuberville!!!!

I live in Alabama and what Jones did was seal his defeat in November. He probably was going to lose anyway, but now it is a certainty. I have to believe that his vote was bought by some Job Promise when he leaves office of some other kind of Financial reward.
