White House supposedly was just set to announce Manchin for the (bi-partisan) acquittal.

Even if it happens now, it’s too late for branding purposes as Mitt just handed Nancy her bipartisan impeachment.

Well, if Manchin votes to acquit, it will be a bipartisan acquittal and Mitt’s vote will be completely irrelevant.

The only way Mitt’s vote matters at all is if no Democrats vote to acquit, then Pelosi and Dem’s can say there was a bipartisan vote to convict and Republican’s would not be able to counter by saying there was a bipartisan vote to acquit.

All symbolic I know, but in politics perception is reality and it matters with regards to talking points.
