My husband would come home and say, “guess what I heard on talk radio today...” I got tired of that but did love the stories and finally tuned in to KLBJ in Austin, TX just before Bill Clinton was elected.
Been a faithful listener since women were supposed to send in a picture before they called. As a procrastinator I haven’t done that yet, but Rush has been my educator for decades.
I wouldn’t know anything about what is going on in DC if not for Rush.
And yes, Rush definitely was a FR reader. In the beginning of the internet when there wasn’t much more than FR (not even DU) you could read down the topics page before work and Rush practically would go down the list of those articles that day.
And I loved the Rush Revere books too! Wish there were a 100 of them.
Last year, I thought they should be sent to every football player in the NFL. They could learn about the country and why we have pride in it!
