I've done 4 R caucuses, and now 2 D caucuses. This isn't an all D problem. The deal with the caucuses are, they are not run by the state or county election officers. They are party events, run by volunteers. And the usual party volunteers, no matter the party, are a bunch of old farts with nothing better to do.

And these people probably still have AOL and dial up internet. They are not technically savvy and trying to enter results in a smartphone app is like trying to launch the space shuttle. It's not like professional business people are running most caucus sites.

With that said, a caucus does serve a valuable purpose. It really isn't to pick the winners, it is to weed out the for sure losers, no matter the party.
