Did they arrive here legally, spend weeks going through paperwork and taking classes in American history and citizenship, and finally, reverently took the oath alongside other proud new Americans?
And took a trip to visit the Ellis Island National Immigration Museum to view how past immigrants arrived through 1954 when the center took its last new arrival.
Or did they arrive by chance when being relocated as "undocumented" and said in excellent English , reading from a printed card "Where is my welfare? I am entitlement eligible. I want to register as a Democrat."
Can’t say for sure, but betting on the latter.
