Lung cancer is not necessarily a death sentence. I have a friend who had stage 4 lung cancer and was a candidate for gene therapy and has been cancer free for 5 years. I hope and pray Rush will beat this. He has enough love headed his way and some of the strongest prayer warriors who will be lighting up the sky with prayers for him.
Prognosis
It’s hard to talk about the prognosis of advanced lung cancer because we will be talking about statistics that were gathered before several of the preferred treatments for advanced lung cancer became available... That said, there are long-term survivors of advanced lung cancer, and that number is growing.

That;s good to hear. My boss’s mom had lung cancer many years ago; had the tumor removed and is still going strong. Lord guide Rush and his doctors and bless him.
Thanks for that post. I’ve been looking for a ray of hope, despite what some of the experts on here have been saying.
With millions of us conservatives praying for RUSH...I expect a miracle!! Thank YOU LORD!!!
These days any cancer is not necessarily a death sentence. In fact most make it thru treatment. Its holding onto remission those first few years after that can be tricky. Even then, most do ok.
I know someone diagnosed with stage III lung cancer at least 3 years ago. She never smoked a day in her life, was/is very active etc.
She is currently doing very well. I do not know what type of treatment program she has been on.
