The executive summary is that there are a couple different kinds of LC. But they are all really bad and tend to rank near the bottom of long term survival rates among the common and semi-common carcinomas. If his cancer is indeed “advanced,” I hate to say it, but he probably should make sure his affairs are in order. The only semi-common form of cancer with a worse prognosis that I can think of is Pancreatic. And that not by much.
I know someone with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She’s 82. She finished treatment last year and is fine.
There are many factors that involve statistics. Treatment is much better these days. Not easy. But, most do ok. Rush is not a statistic. Nor anyone else. I’d be dead if that was the case.
And I’m sure Rush has had his affairs in order already.
