It appears that the long-running farce of an impeachment process may finally be coming to a well deserved end. On Wednesday, February 5, the impeachment without a crime will see the Senate voting yea or nay on the two articles. That vote will bring to a conclusion a three-year ordeal of continual lies, shredding of the Constitution, and malicious and unsubstantiated attacks. It will expose a long list of people who should be charged and prosecuted for various felony crimes including perjury, lying to federal investigators, fraud, and presenting false evidence to a federal court.
Betting parlors are not ruling out the Democrats going to their worn out playbook once again before the vote and "finding" another "bombshell witness" in an attempt to delay the vote and who, like all the others before him or her, will turn out to be a phony. The president's State of the Union address is the night before the acquittal vote. It is not hard to imagine the Democrats using that day to drop their "new witness" news to suck the air out of the SOTU news cycle.
Just like John Bolton, who miraculously remembered "important information" timed neatly with his book release, and maybe a new witness, the Democrats will use the new bombshell or shells to attempt to delegitimize the acquittal. No one will ask why someone needs to be acquitted of something that did not occur or, as charged, rise to an impeachable offense.
The bigger question is, where do the Democrats go from here? Even their own delusional polls show their candidates either losing to President Trump or ahead by low single digits, which, as experience bears witness, means they are really losing by double digits.

A lot longer than three years, the shredding of the Constitution commenced on Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009.
The Bernie Bros have said on tape that assassination is an option along with reeducation camps and hit squads - its just unfortunate that some will not go along with the flow necessitating stronger measures for everyones’ good. Oh and If Bernie does not get the nomination, Milwaukee will burn.

IMHO the Dims are desperately trying to defeat the President primarily to stop the Barr/Durham investigation that, if taken to its logical conclusion, will lead all the way to President Obama and include all upper echelons of the Intelligence Community. And that it goes back further than 2016 to the 2012 election as well. This exposure will put Obama and the Democrats far further ahead of Nixon on the corruption index and shake America’s faith in their institutions and the Democratic Party to the core. There only asset in this scenario is that Obama, being the first black President, would be used as a martyr as they rely on the racism card to paint Barr and Durham as racist tools of the President. And because this would set back race relations while destroying governmental legitimacy it will never happen. The best we can hope for is gentle prodding for the ringleaders to resign with a few being fired as we’ve seen happen already in the FBI/DOJ.

IMHO, that would accomplish nothing other than give the politicians and the news media more face time.
We will see the 'beginning' of returning the republic to its founding principals when William Barr investigates, prosecutes and jails criminal democrats in high government and media. It would also help if the President fired ALL democrats and enemies embedded in the AG, FBI and other agencies/departments under his authority - and replace them with men and women faithful to the Constitution and to supporting his policies.
Unfortunately, we see criminal democrats and their libelous, slanderous media allies continue to act with impunity.

Because more than half of them want Trump gone too so they can get back to making America North Mexico.

The Biden corruption needs to be looked into because Trump is accused of investigating the Bidens when there is no evidence of corruption.
But the looking into can’t be done until Biden is out of the race for President.
Did any of the Democrats respond to the evidence presented by Pam Bondi in the impeachment trial? Did anyone substantially refute what she said?
Wikipedia says this:
“... at which Bondi made debunked allegations that Vice President Biden and his son were tainted by corruption in Ukraine”
I submit that the impeachment lacks one glaring omission - consequences for the party pushing impeachment. I suggest this could be remedied by an amendment covering those consequences.
The State of the party of the losing speaker (majority or minority) should be docked 1 - 5 electoral votes for each of the succeeding four National Elections. The actual # of votes to be deducted shall be decided in public hearings in a consultation between the majority and minority leaders and the Vice President, but in no case shall be less than one.
The seriousness of the charges as well as the magnanimity of the exonerations only go in opposite directions.
Even if they win look for some accidents and heart attacks without autopsies.
They got away with murdering Scalia after all.
