Thats just a formality. Pelosi is a nobody. The President has total control over the SOTU address. I hope he delays the address and I think there is a very good chance he will.
That’s is correct he cannot simply postpone because It’s by invitation to the house. If he postpones Pelosi will not issue an invitation and no Network coverage in a different venue. You may think so what but the SOTU is a pretty big deal to a POTUS and he wants prime time coverage.
